Dr. Aponte-Moreno is an Associate Professor of Global Business and Board Member of the Institute of Latino and Latin American Studies at Saint Mary’s College of California. His research focuses on leadership, cross-cultural management and Venezuelan politics. He is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. His doctoral dissertation focused on the role of metaphors in Hugo Chávez’s political discourse in his efforts to legitimise his Bolivarian Revolution.
